Does Jacksons have nugget ice?

What we found

• Jacksons Food Stores' official Instagram account @jacksonsfoodstores posted a reel (https://www.instagram.com/p/DTtU8JKD_Yj/, about January 19, 2026) whose caption reads: "Whatever you call it… Chewy Ice / Pebble Ice / Nugget Ice / Blue Hedgehog Ice / We've got it!" That is a brand post asserting they have nugget (and pebble/chewy) ice. It does not say "every location" or "all stores," and the on-screen video shows an ice-dispenser / fountain panel rather than naming soda fountains in text.
• A community report (October 23, 2026) brought that official reel to our attention and is why Jacksons is listed as chain-wide rather than only widely reported. The report is credited as a community report; it is not a separate public article.
• Jacksons' drinks page (jacksons.com/drinks, checked October 23, 2026) lists fountain drinks, frozen drinks and hot drinks but does not say what shape the ice is. We found no Jacksons company web page that uses the words "nugget ice."
• Pins are OpenStreetMap convenience stores and fuel canopies tagged as Jacksons, not a copy of the Jacksons store locator. Jacksons' Terms of Use say you may not obtain materials through any means not intentionally made available on the site, so we did not scrape locator.jacksons.com. A shop and its fuel canopy within 120 meters count as one store. Objects that are not this chain (a "Jacksons Home Improvement," a "Bill Jackson's" outdoors shop, and a Shell station wrongly tagged Jacksons) are left out. Jacksons also operates some ExtraMile by Jacksons stores with Chevron; those ExtraMile locations are a different brand on the map and are not pinned here unless OpenStreetMap tags them as Jacksons.
• On October 23, 2026 this snapshot has 178 OpenStreetMap pins in 7 states (Idaho 69, Washington 44, Oregon 41, Arizona 7, Nevada 7, California 6, Utah 4). One hundred twenty-four pins have a street that starts with a house number and 54 have no street in OpenStreetMap; no house number was guessed. Jacksons' Our Story page says it has 300+ company-operated stores under the Jacksons Food Stores and ExtraMile by Jacksons brands across Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, California, Utah and Montana (checked October 23, 2026), so many locations — especially ExtraMile-branded ones and any still missing from OpenStreetMap — are not pinned yet. If yours isn't pinned, add it. If a pinned store doesn't have nugget ice, vote "no longer has it."
