Does Hattie B's have nugget ice?

What we found

• Aliworld North America, the customer magazine of Ali Group (owner of ice-machine maker Ice-O-Matic), made Hattie B's its January 2022 cover story (Issue 10, from p. 8). It describes Hattie B's beers, cocktails and soda as "many cooled with chewable Pearl Ice® from Ice-O-Matic's Gem2006 Pearl Ice Maker, dubbed the Pearlstorm," and that Hattie B's set that machine as its "hard spec for all openings going forward, as well as for all legacy stores when the time for a new ice maker comes." It quotes Brian Morris, Hattie B's Vice President of Culinary, Learning and Development, on chewable ice: "That is the best ice."
• That story comes from the equipment maker's own magazine, not from Hattie B's, and it's from January 2022, when Hattie B's had eight restaurants in four states. The magazine itself says "many" drinks, not all, and says older stores would get the machine when their ice maker was due for replacement. Hattie B's website (home, about, menu and FAQ pages, checked October 8, 2026) doesn't say what kind of ice it uses. Not every location is individually confirmed.
• Pins are OpenStreetMap restaurants named Hattie B's in the United States (no OpenStreetMap object carries its brand tag yet), not a copy of a store locator; streets and other places whose names start with "Hattie B" are left out. On October 8, 2026 this snapshot has 12 OpenStreetMap pins in 5 states: Tennessee 6 (four in Nashville, plus Franklin and Memphis), Alabama 2 (Birmingham and Huntsville), Georgia 2 (Atlanta), Illinois 1 (Chicago) and Texas 1 (Austin). Four pins have a street that starts with a house number and 8 have no street in OpenStreetMap; no house number was guessed. Hattie B's online ordering menu lists 14 locations (checked October 8, 2026), including a second Austin location and Dallas, which OpenStreetMap doesn't have yet. If yours isn't pinned, add it. If a pinned location doesn't have nugget ice, vote "no longer has it."

12 Hattie B's locations on the map

Locations from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL). They're widely reported listings, not individually confirmed — the only source is a January 2022 Aliworld cover story (the magazine of ice-machine maker Ice-O-Matic's parent Ali Group), which says many Hattie B's drinks are cooled with chewable Pearl Ice from an Ice-O-Matic machine. Hattie B's own website doesn't say what ice it uses, and these pins are not every location. Pins are OpenStreetMap only, which is missing a few of its 14 restaurants, so if yours isn't pinned, add it. If one is closed or its machine is out, vote “no longer has it.”
