Does Buc-ee's have nugget ice?

What we found

• A May 3, 2026 HOMEVOL guide says, "If you're on a road trip and need ice like sonic, your first stop should be Buc-ee's. They don't just have it in the fountain; they sell massive bags of it labeled Beaver Ice. It is specifically engineered to be chewable." It also calls Buc-ee's a gold standard for gas-station stops. That is one writer's guide, not a Buc-ee's statement, and it does not say the company confirmed every store.
• The owner of Nugget Ice Finder reports (September 30, 2026) that every Buc-ee's has nugget ice. That report, together with the guide above, is why Buc-ee's is listed as chain-wide rather than only widely reported. It is not a statement from Buc-ee's.
• Buc-ee's own FAQ does not say what shape the ice is (fetched September 30, 2026). We found no Buc-ee's page that says the stores serve nugget ice.
• Pins are OpenStreetMap travel centers, not a copy of the Buc-ee's locator. A convenience store and its fuel canopy within 200 meters count as one store. On September 30, 2026, buc-ees.com/locations listed 57 operating stores (we counted headings only and did not copy addresses). This snapshot has 55 OpenStreetMap pins in 13 states and none in Arkansas. That is not the same 57: there is no pin for the page's Benton (Arkansas), Luling, or San Marcos headings, and one Texas pin has no street and the nearest census place is Port Lavaca, which is not a heading on that page. Nine pins have no street in OpenStreetMap; no house number was guessed. A Murfreesboro, Tennessee node tagged as a shop was left off: it is not on the locations page, and FOX 10 reported a November 16, 2026 opening. If a pinned store doesn't have nugget ice, vote "no longer has it."

55 Buc-ee's locations on the map

Locations from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL). They're chain-wide listings, not individually confirmed — the site owner reports nugget ice at every Buc-ee's, and a 2026 guide describes Sonic-style fountain ice and chewable Beaver Ice, but Buc-ee's has not said so. buc-ees.com/locations listed 57 operating stores when we checked; these pins are OpenStreetMap only, with no Arkansas store in this snapshot. If yours isn't pinned, add it. If one is closed or its machine is out, vote “no longer has it.”
